Cartersville Water Department
Water Utility Building with Unique Slopes and Horizontal IMP
The Cartersville Water Department facility and office showcases a modern design built with four single slope metal buildings, each featuring unique eave heights and slope directions. The structure incorporates Metl-Span’s Insulated Metal Panels in Mesa and Santa Fe profiles, finished in Warm White and Surrey Beige, complemented by a Loc Seam 360 roof system in Regal White. The IMP walls were utilized horizontally and strategically aligned with windows and doors, requiring precise coordination during detailing and erection.
Architectural details include brick masonry accents at the base of the walls, sleek modern window overhangs at the entrance building, and numerous windows throughout that enhance natural light. Functional elements such as a partial mezzanine, six overhead doors, and a covered canopy for equipment add versatility to the space.
